Grant Ritchie

This image was shot on 1st August 2014 from the
foot of the Nelson Monument on Calton Hill looking
directly along Princes Street. I had been on the hill for
the Tattoo fireworks but knew the moon would be in
a crescent phase and would pass over Princes Street
before it set. 9 times out of 10 with these shots cloud
spoils the day but this one of those rare occasions
when it all just came together.
