Gargunock House

Gargunnock House, Stirlingshire

(This image also wins the Monochrome award)

I had set out to photograph the house, but was really attracted by the old tree and dramatic skies, so finally setted on a composition which included all these elements.

Canon 5D Mk 2 (Modified for IR), 24-105mm Lens, ISO-50, 1/3 sec @ F22; converted to B&W by Photoshop/Silver EFEX Pro

Incoming Tide

Harris, Outer Hebrides

I was exploring a small beach on Harris and realised that the incoming tide was occassionally cascading over a pile of rocks creating a small waterfall flowing into the small rock pool.

Canon 5D Mk 3, 24-105mm Lens, ISO-50 1/6 sec @ f/16, Polarising filter

Queensferry Crossing

South Queensferry

A dense bank of fog had been covering the Forth hiding the bridge all day. At sunset the fog was finally dispersing, the carriageway was revealed with the beautiful pink sunset sky behind.

Canon 5D Mk 3, 70-200mm lens with 1.4 convertor, ISO 50, 10 secs @ f45 +1/3 stop.
