Roger Merrifield

Elgol

The photo is from Elgol, Isle of Skye
and was taken back in February this
year. It wasn’t a planned image I had
driven 8 hours up to Skye and was
going to go straight to the cottage
where I was staying but looking at
the light as I passed through Broad-
ford I decided to take a detour
down to Elgol. It was a crazy mad
rush across the shoreline as I saw
the light changing quickly. It was
so windy and spray was flying up
everywhere I could hardly stand up
let alone take a shot, but managed
to grab this one with some fast
shutter work.
