Bonnie & Wild

Bonnie & Wild Scottish Marketplace announced as major sponsors of the Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year

The Competition is delighted to announce our new partnership with Bonnie & Wild‘s Scottish Marketplace.

This major new sponsorship from Bonnie & Wild comprises a three-year deal that will see the winning images displayed at a permanent exhibition in the heart of Edinburgh’s brand new, soon to open St James Quarter. Competition Founder, Stuart Low said: “I am absolutely delighted to be partnering with Bonnie & Wild who share the same values for promoting Scotland, and this means a year-long rolling exhibition in an amazing new venue that is sure to attract more visitors than we could have imagined.

Bonnie & Wild’s Scottish Marketplace was born from a desire to celebrate the amazing food and drink that comes from Scotland’s lands and waters. The team wanted to give the producers and purveyors a Food Hall where they could share their products, sustainably sourced from the best Scottish farms and fish markets, diaries and delis, distilleries, breweries, and so on.

Alongside Bonnie & Wild’s ambition to showcase Scotland’s natural larder, they’re also passionate about the raw beauty of our country – the “bonnie” and the “wild”. That’s why they’ve partnered with the Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards and will be displaying this eye-catching photography exhibition on the walls of their Scottish Marketplace.

Within their Food Hall, they will display all of the award winners and commendees in a rolling exhibition that will offer visitors the opportunity to purchase prints of these majestic photographs. As well as providing the display space in the heart of Edinburgh’s new St James Quarter, Bonnie & Wild are covering the exhibition’s production costs by way of a three-year sponsorship package.

But they also wanted to go a step further!

Bonnie & Wild are also donating a rare and unique prize to one of the finalist photographers … and are inviting members of the public to help choose the winner! From a shortlisted selection of our favourites, we would love for you, the public, to select your favourite photograph. The winning photographer will receive a weekend’s stay at the beautiful Glenceitlein Cottage in Glen Etive (subject to availability). Everyone who takes part in the voting will have the option to take part in a prize draw for a £50 voucher at Bonnie & Wild.

Bonnie & Wild’s Head of Operations Ryan Barrie said: “We’re passionate about knowing where our food comes from and who made it, and sharing that with our guests. That’s why we’re proud to be partnering with the Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards. Food provenance and traceability are of great importance to everyone at Bonnie & Wild, and having these inspiring photographs displayed around our Food Hall helps us to underline the connection between the food and drink in our hands and the lands, lochs and seas it comes from.”

The Scottish Landscape Photography Awards are announced on Friday, April 9th
