The Rules for SLPOTY 9

1. The Competition opens for entries on 9th January 2023 and closes at midnight on 20th February 2023

2 Entrants must be 18 years and over, from the UK & Overseas. Members of the “SOSLP” are not permitted to enter.

3. Entry to the Competition is via https://slpoty.co.uk/comp9/

4. Images be taken within 5 years of the closing date, and comprise views of the Scottish mainland or islands only.

5. Entrants may enter once and choose from a selection of 1, 3, 8 or 15 images. Note: To be elgible for the overall winners award, entrants must submit a minimum of 3 images.

6. The Competition comprises of 4 main awards and 5 special awards:

Main Awards
– Overall Winner – (based on minimum 3 images)
– Landscape, Seascape and Urban awards – (single image)

Special Awards
– Best monochrome award (single image)
– 4 Seasons award (single image for Spring, Summer, Autumn & Winter seasons)
– Weather Award (single image)
– Fragile planet award (single image)
– John Muir Trust Awards (x10 individual awards)

7. Editing – there are no editing restrictions for any category – except for the overall winners award. Images may be edited or not. Images will be judged on visual appeal with a preference for natural looking images.

9. All winners, runners up and commended photographers will be showcased in the official Collection 9 book.
